Présentation des bassins versants ateliers (Coët-Dan et Kerharo) et de la baie de Douarnenez

Two catchment basins were used as study sites as part of the Catchment Basins and Transmission of Pollution to the Coastline programme. The Coët-Dan basin in Central Brittany, which lies in an area of intensive animal farming, has been subject to study and measurement since 1972. The Kerharo Basin, a stream which flows into Douarnenez Bay, was equipped for the first time for the purposes of this programme. The characteristics of the basins are given below. The description of Kerharo has been extended to include the bay in Douarnenez which is subject to proliferations of green algae every year. / Deux bassins versants expérimentaux ont été utilisés comme site ateliers dans le cadre du programme Bassins versants et transmission des pollutions au littoral. Celui du Coët-Dan, situé en Centre Bretagne dans une zone d'élevage intensif, est instrumenté depuis 1972. Celui du Kerharo, ruisseau se jetant en baie de Douarnenez, l'a été pour la première fois à  l'occasion de ce programme. Les caractéristiques de ces bassins sont décrites ci-après avec, pour celui du Kerharo, un élargissement à  la baie de Doarnenez elle-même, où des proliférations d'algues vertes ont lieu chaque année.
